Let's Talk Toner
Toner is one of the most important steps in your facial routine. After cleansing your face, it is necessary to use a toner in order to: remove excess oil, traces of makeup and dirt, restore your skin to PH balance, cleanse pores and aid in moisture retention.
It is best to use a toner which is alcohol free so that is does not dry out your skin! One of my staple products in my skin care routine is Thayer's Natural Witch Hazel Toner in Rose Petal. This product has no alcohol, it's made with natural products, and it comes in multiple fragrances.
How to use: Cleanse your face. Apply toner to a cotton ball or pad after cleansing. Rub on face and neck in a circular motion and allow to air dry. This will allow your moisturizer/facial oils to soak into the skin.
The great thing about toner is that every skin type can find one to place into their skincare routine. This is especially important for those who have oily and acne prone skin.
